BLEH FOOTY
Soccer crests have always been of interest to me. History and civic pride blended together to form a modern icon that both fairweather fans and hooligans can cheer for 90 minutes at a time (plus extra). Collected here is a quartet of custom design soccer identities from the fictional (yet appropriately soccer-crazed) municipality of BLEH, each boasting a number of championship pentacles woven into their design.
Inspired by the top European clubs who shaped the sport with generations of traditional and contemporary logos. I aimed to explore shape, symbolism, and letterforms with each custom identity.

BLEH City
“The Children of the Night”
A mouthful of midnight purple and underlined with red, this intimidating modern crest takes a bite out of the competition.

BLEH United
“The Pumpkin Kings”
A bulbous roundel encompasses black and orange stripes, is regally adorned with an iron crown and creeping, crawling vines.

BLEH Football Club
“The Vampires”
A romantic patchwork shield bisected with a bold BLEH, balances the enthralling crimson and baby blue club colors with a throwback vampire fang emblem.

Athletic Club BLEH
“The Monsters”
Lurching forward with letters maniacally stitched together, this mean green badge is brought to life with two silver bolts.
